About the Role

Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits is seeking a highly skilled Chain Sales Merchandiser to join our team. As a key member of our sales and merchandising team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining merchandising displays of our products in key retail accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and maintain merchandising displays of SGWS products in key retail accounts as requested by Sales Team or retail customers.
  • Provide support to Sales Reps by ordering products and expediting product delivery on an emergency basis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with retail customers to ensure a strong presence of SGWS products on store shelves.
  • Participate in ensuring store appearance and merchandise displays are in line with plans, selling history, and new receipts.
  • Consult with buyers, marketing, and sellers to ensure product positioning and presentation plans are executed effectively.
  • Place product orders on behalf of the Sales Rep and service local stores to keep company products fully stocked on the shelves.
  • Create and coordinate the visual presentation of merchandise, including store layout and exhibits.
  • Distribute and install refund offers, neck hangers, shelf-talkers, and price signs on products sold by the Company.
  • Fulfill cold box and warm shelves at client accounts with products sold by the Company.
  • Refill and re-merchandise existing displays of products sold by the Company.
  • Assemble, install, and fill all types of display racks.
  • Pick up and deliver special orders, mail, and merchandise.
  • Perform sales support functions, including the use of current point of sale marketing materials and oversight of shelf space in the chain territory manager's accounts.
  • Reset alcoholic beverages at the store level, rearranging products using an authorized plan within an assigned territory/set geographic region.
  • Implement authorized plans/schematics developed by the various chain headquarters, ensuring accuracy in evaluation, application, and execution.
  • Introduce new products, reinforce established case volume and display activity, and monitor in-store promotion results.
  • Stay abreast of business/market conditions, recognize new opportunities within each account, and maintain necessary territory records.
  • Support the sales representative's visibility and market saturation in the account.
  • Build and develop trust and confidence with retailers through knowledge of SGWS policies and procedures, coupled with prompt and courteous resolution of inventory discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in sales and merchandising.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance by state laws.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Demands

This role requires physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time, including sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device, walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping. May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs.
