Position Overview

Position Title: Licensed Child & Family Therapist

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $35.35 | Annual Salary: $73,528.00

Role Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Licensed Child and Family Therapist to join our Behavioral Health Department in Lynnwood, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering individual and family therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. This role also involves facilitating group sessions and coordinating care with medication providers, primary care physicians, and community partners. The therapist must possess the capability to accurately assess mental health conditions and create effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and contracts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of agency policies and procedures.
  • Educate staff on mental health service referral processes and psychoeducational topics.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of mental health services in patient records.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct culturally and developmentally appropriate diagnostic assessments for patients.
  • Provide individual and family counseling while collaborating with other professionals.
  • Engage family members in the assessment and treatment planning process.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effects of medications in collaboration with psychiatric providers.
  • Perform suicide risk assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Support staff and patients in addressing mental health needs while maintaining confidentiality.

Productivity Expectations:

Achieve a minimum of 80 encounters, equating to at least 80 hours of direct patient contact.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics.
  • Licensure in marriage and family therapy (LMFT), mental health counseling (LMHC), or social work (LICSW or LASW).
  • Child Mental Health Specialist credential or progress towards obtaining it.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficiency in Cerner, MS Office, and other medical software.
  • Experience working with children and families is essential; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
