HR Support Specialist Position

- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, including employee onboarding, paperwork processing, data entry, file maintenance, copying/scanning, and answering telephone inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records, including employee information, benefits, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate new employee meetings and ensure timely completion of necessary paperwork and documentation.
- Contact references and complete reference checks as required.
- Monitor employee eligibility for benefit plans and review benefits with employees to ensure accurate enrollment, cancellations, or changes.
- Manage unemployment claims and employment verifications, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Serve as the point person for new employee inquiries and assist employees with human resources-related questions.
- Maintain HR and organizational systems, including payroll, member tracking, Employee Navigator, and spreadsheets, by updating and maintaining accurate data.
- E nsure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and periodically audit Forms I-9 to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct or assist with new employee orientation and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Answer telephone inquiries, make copies, scan documents, file materials, and maintain accurate human resources files.
- Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected, accurate, and maintained.
