About the Role

Tepa Companies is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead our Mechanical Engineering Department and participate in project design from the conceptual phase to the construction phase. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of mid-level and entry-level mechanical engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and QA/QC reviews of design.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for all mechanical engineering projects executed by the company.
- Hires, leads, supervises, and mentors senior-level, mid-level, and entry-level mechanical engineers.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving internal design processes.
- Provides "Responsible Charge" and serves as the primary engineer of record (EOR) on projects.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, or similar from Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university.
- 15+ years of related experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Active NCEES record.
- Project experience with federal, state, local government, and private clients.
- Experience leading a team of senior-level, mid-level, and entry-level mechanical engineers preferred, not required.
