Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and re-condition various types of equipment.
- Work on different construction machinery such as boom lifts, aerial lifts, and rail trucks.
- Disassemble units for diagnosis and/or repair.
- Devise solutions for unit failures through examination of equipment, specification sheets, and manuals.
- Clean and degrease parts using appropriate chemicals and cleaning devices.
- Recondition and/or replace damaged parts and reassemble units using appropriate manuals and schematics.
- High mechanical aptitude.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.
- Knowledge of basic hydraulic principles.
- Knowledge of DC current and electronic fundamentals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of failure analysis and the use of diagnostic equipment and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and understand assembly manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 consecutive hours.
- Dexterity and agility sufficient for climbing around equipment, repairing equipment, and driving vehicles with clutch transmission.
- Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, diesel engines, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
