Job Title: Fitness and Social Justice Professional

InnerCity Weightlifting (ICW) is a mission-driven organization that amplifies the voice and agency of people most impacted by systemic racism and mass incarceration. We are seeking a Fitness and Social Justice Professional to join our team as an intern.

As a Fitness and Social Justice Professional, you will work directly with our program participants, helping them gain access to identification, housing, food, jobs, and other essential resources. You will also assist with case management, member services, development, and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with case management and provide support to program participants
  • Help with member services, including answering questions and scheduling appointments
  • Contribute to development efforts, including grant writing and donor outreach
  • Assist with marketing and outreach efforts, including social media and advertising

Requirements:

  • Interest in social justice and passion for ICW's mission
  • Experience with Google platforms and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated personal/professional experience understanding challenges within the criminal justice system
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
