Job Description:

The Mars Finance Leadership Experience (MFLE) is a comprehensive, 3-year rotational program designed to foster the growth and development of university graduates in the early stages of their finance careers.

As an Associate in the MFLE program, you will have the opportunity to rotate through three different business areas in Finance across Mars locations, including Mars Wrigley, Mars Petcare, Royal Canin, Internal Audit, Mars Global Services, and more.

In each role, you will be a key partner to the business, driving growth and supporting day-to-day operations through various initiatives, such as producing periodic and quarterly reporting, improving processes and procedures, and completing special projects.

Throughout your 3-year tenure with Mars, our goal is to equip you with a strong foundation across multiple finance roles, enabling you to become a confident finance leader within the broader organization.

During your first year, you will be placed in either Newark, NJ, Franklin, TN, or St. Charles, MO. Your location will be determined by the available roles in those cities at the time of your offer, with your preferences taken into account.

After your first year, you will have the opportunity to relocate to various locations based on available roles across the business.

It is expected that you will relocate at least once during your time in the program to gain valuable experience with different business units across Mars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the finance team's digital agenda by unlocking analytics capabilities, processes, and next-generation applications and technologies.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to drive value through tangible assignments with visibility to senior leadership.
  • Build capability in sought-after skills, including data storytelling, analysis, process optimization, senior leader communication, project ownership, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Participate in various training and skill-building events as part of the MFLE program.
  • Join a diverse community of early-talent finance professionals to guide you through your transition into the first phase of your career.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field, with a graduation conferral date between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Agile candidates with a drive for results, a desire to learn, and the ability to quickly build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Passionate about the consumer products industry and eager to build a long-term career in finance and related fields.
  • Willingness to relocate to the site of the role (Newark NJ, Franklin TN, St. Charles MO) and to relocate during the course of the program to other Mars locations (relocation support is provided each time associates are required to move as part of this program).
  • Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work sponsorship.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening.
