Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Western Alliance Bank. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of critical Fraud and AML solutions on Actimize and other platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead/participate in efforts to implement new or enhance and maintain existing Fraud/AML solutions in Actimize without compromising quality and adhering to compliance needs.
  • Conceive and implement strategic architectural enhancements and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to strategize and implement solutions.
  • Lead/participate in testing, deployment, production support activities.
  • Guide, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to team members and other technology professionals on the company's standard development practice and guidelines.
  • Create and maintain configuration workbooks, deployment plans, run books, and assist in the creation of training guides & process documentation for new functionality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 8+ years of development experience with 5+ years in Actimize development and/or implementation.
  • 5 years of experience in analyzing and solutioning for various Fraud and AML related functions Actimize, MS SQL and Azure.
  • Expertise in requirement gathering, analysis, implementation, and support Fraud and AML side solutions namely IFM-X/SAM/CDD/WL-X/CTR.
  • Expertise in data analysis using T-SQL, mapping source data to Actimize namespace as well as using and managing related platforms and tools.
  • Expert level experience with.NET/ Java/Python as well as Object oriented programming
  • Proficient in testing methodologies, change management and release processes and support activities, fulfilling Audit needs as well as infrastructure management.
  • Proficient is setting up and maintaining build and deployment pipelines and managing code using Azure Dev ops or similar technology.
  • Expert level experience in conceptual, logical, and physical design and modeling.
  • Experience in creating conceptual and logical architecture diagrams and data flow diagrams using design tools like Lucid Chart.
  • Excellent analytical, communication (both verbal and written), facilitation/organizational skills.
  • Strategic, innovative thinking and vision and willingness to learn, use, and explain new technology.
  • Strong organization and time management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps/Jira/Git/ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge LexisNexis OFAC products.
  • Familiarity with ETL cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Banking or financial services industry experience or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Strong Experience working with SDLC, Agile
