Role Location: Kansas City, Kansas

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve issues with CNC mills and lathes, encompassing electro-mechanical, operational, electrical/electronic, and overall equipment challenges.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, installation, servicing, rebuilding, and maintenance as required.
  • Interpret error codes to ascertain repair needs.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of drives as necessary.
  • Advise on additional services or equipment acquisitions.
  • Determine, procure, and replace parts as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule external technical support when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Proficient with Siemens controllers.
  • Familiarity with G-code programming.
  • Experience with machine homing processes.
  • Knowledge of linear scales.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with 3-axis and 5-axis Cincinnati profilers and mills.
  • Background in CNC machine tool troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Understanding of spindle and ball screw replacements.
  • Practical knowledge of volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other testing/measuring instruments.
  • Capability to comprehend and follow technical manuals and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to foster effective relationships.
  • Experience with servos, motion controls, and PLCs is advantageous.
