About the Role

A Service Engineer at Hartwig plays a crucial role in ensuring our customers' CNC machine tools operate at peak levels. This involves conducting high-quality repairs, installations, and troubleshooting to meet the diverse needs of our clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and install CNC machines with precision and efficiency
  • Recommend modifications and improvements to machines, equipment, and processes
  • Train and instruct customers on service, repair, and proper installation
  • Utilize software and electrical tools to identify damaged work parts and implement permanent solutions
  • Manage daily tasks in our service software and timecard system
  • Travel to customer sites, typically within a 3-hour radius from home, with occasional overnight travel
Requirements
  • Formal education or training in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC Machines is preferred
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is essential
  • Experience repairing and servicing CNC machines is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-motivated problem solver
  • Good driving record and valid driver's license to ensure fleet vehicle insurability
