Position Overview:

The Liquidity Management Associate plays a crucial role within the Reporting & Analytics team, working closely with the U.S. Treasurer to oversee all aspects of USD liquidity for the organization. This position is integral to the effective management of liquidity across various business lines and ensures that the daily liquidity position is monitored accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the First Line of Defense, managing and reviewing daily liquidity reports in alignment with the organization's risk appetite.
  • Lead the introduction of new deposit and cash management products on behalf of the U.S. Treasury.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise and core Business Lines to assess and strategize the roadmap for U.S. Treasury in relation to Global Transaction Banking products.
  • Identify and recommend Treasury solutions based on emerging business product trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute significantly to a team of analysts, developing expertise in product-specific liquidity reporting and stress testing methodologies.
  • Facilitate discussions with business lines to establish robust liquidity stress testing assumptions for U.S.-booked products.
  • Design processes for management reporting to provide timely analytics and reporting as requested by senior management.
  • Ensure that daily operations reflect the organization's risk culture and appetite, influencing decision-making processes.
  • Foster a high-performance environment by collaborating with team members to achieve collective goals and timelines.
  • Strive for operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls related to operational risk and conduct risk.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in finance or computer science is preferred, or a non-business degree combined with relevant certifications such as CFA or FRM.
  • Experience in financial markets with a focus on liquidity management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint and Excel, including advanced skills in VBA, Python, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting platforms is advantageous.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A solid understanding of U.S. liquidity reporting regulations and their implications on product categorization and treatment.
  • A comprehensive grasp of the products reported and their effects on short-term wholesale funding measures.
