Job Overview

As a key player in managing and driving financial operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to analyze job costs and manage the capital budget.
  • Implement and drive Lean Process methodology across the financial operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership in the development of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in driving the financial planning of a company, managing financial risks, record-keeping, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.
  • AIA documentation experience.
  • Proven experience with Lean Process methodology.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various departments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
