Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the distribution of incoming communications, including memos, letters, and newsletters, to ensure timely and effective communication with customers, employees, and management.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service, reflecting Macy's commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the hiring process, including prescreening applicants, correspondence, and scheduling interviews with store management.
  • Input employment data into the Job Requisition System and handle new hire paperwork, orientation, and training sessions.
  • Balance the store's vault and perform cash handling duties on a daily basis.
  • Act as a liaison between the MST team and colleagues, providing training and support on repair procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute the weekly store newsletter, maintain the store bulletin board program, and organize recognition programs.
  • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality, adhering to store schedules and expectations.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of customers and peers.
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule that includes retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the store or department.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and constant communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Working with multiple computer screens and programs simultaneously for extended periods.
  • Occasional movement, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of up to 10lbs.
