Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will administer therapy modalities as ordered by physician, perform mechanical ventilator operations, and respond to code blue situations.

Responsibilities
  • Administer therapy modalities as ordered by physician
  • Perform mechanical ventilator operations and arterial puncture and blood gas analysis
  • Respond to code blue situations for assigned areas
  • Assist in transport of ventilator and critically ill patients
  • Verify physician orders prior to therapy treatment
  • Provide accurate report to oncoming staff at shift end
  • Enter all patient contacts into appropriate system
  • Perform equipment rounds
Requirements
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist
  • Respiratory Therapy Degree – AAS or BS
  • One-year critical care experience
  • Previous experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
