Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver respiratory care services to patients, including diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
  • Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and administer floor and critical care therapy modalities.
  • Perform arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, and maintain and process equipment.
  • Respond to cardiopulmonary arrests, rapid responses, trauma activations, and labor and delivery calls.
  • Participate in all areas of departmental duties, including assistance in new employee orientation and continuing education.
Requirements
  • Current Virginia Licensed Respiratory Therapist.
  • Maintain NBRC credentials for Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Current BLS and ACLS Certification.
  • Current NRP, PALS Certification.
  • STABLE certification (within first year).
  • Preferred: NBRC subspecialty credential Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty Exam.
  • Preferred: PFT or RPFT (PFT lab only).
  • Active member of the American Association for Respiratory Care.
