Plant Maintenance Director

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC is seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in achieving exceptional reliability, efficiency, and safety standards. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies that support our manufacturing objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute 1-year and 3-year business plans to support manufacturing objectives, including the development and implementation of strategies, processes, and programs.
- Manage and develop maintenance team leads/supervisors and maintenance technicians, providing guidance and oversight for all plant associates, motivating, coaching, and developing a diverse, high-performing, and engaged team to meet established goals and build organizational capability.
- Support plant facilities and equipment maintenance to produce quality products in an efficient and profitable manner, reducing overall costs.
- Oversee and assist in the establishment, analysis, and submission of yearly departmental budgets.
- Establish and maintain a SOX-compliant stockroom operation that provides repair parts for critical process equipment and necessary consumables for the plant.
- Maintain good working relationships with other organizational units in the plant, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies.
- Participate in and support the Department safety training program, including weekly safety meetings, shop safety inspections, enforcement of lock-out/tag-out programs, and enforcement of confined space programs.
- Demonstrate the ability to recognize and address the complexity of leading a diverse workforce, participating in and actively supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Ensure Maintenance Department compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the selection, supervision, and development of subordinate personnel.
- Assist in the establishment, analysis, and submission of yearly departmental budgets.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with all other departments.
- Ensure maintenance support is available as needed.
- Remain aware and trained on all technical advancements in the area of responsibility.
- Assist and support mechanics with expertise in equipment.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained and operational up to company standards.
- Oversee all parts acquisition activities.
- Proactively improve process functioning and strive for enhanced levels of efficiency.
- Ensure service calls and machinery repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Manage plant-level capital projects in conjunction with Project Managers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
- Work experience in fast-paced manufacturing settings.
- Experience in food processing a plus.
- Experience in managing vendors.
- Experience managing P&L and departmental budgets.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
- 5+ years of maintenance and 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- 7 years of increasing levels of supervisory roles of people and processes required.
- Demonstrated ability to support a long-term maintenance plan showing year-over-year improvement in reliability, maintenance KPIs, and maintenance cost.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
- Working knowledge of national, state, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, safety, environment, and emergency management.
- Working knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices and manufacturing management.
- Working knowledge of key business drivers used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier.
- ISO, Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement strategy, and/or TPM Certifications highly desired.
- Strong experience in project management preferred, experience in Equipment Preventive Maintenance Management.
- Strong experience and working knowledge of plant maintenance software, SAP preferred.
- Must be proficient in all MS Office applications.
- Preferred experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations.
- Working knowledge of PLC/Controls programming.
- Mechanically inclined.
