**Key Responsibilities:**- Lead the maintenance team and provide support in a 24/7 operating environment
- Ensure the safety of all team members and contractors working in the plant or department by driving continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with all standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance and manufacturing policies and procedures) within area of responsibility
- Forecast, develop, and manage the maintenance budget
- Work cooperatively with other departments to meet plant objectives, diagnose complex equipment problems, meet plant goals, and manage department budget
- Develop and lead preventative/predictive maintenance
- Develop & sustain maintenance as a service culture for the production teams
- Investigate and troubleshoot problems in manufacturing process. Recommend solutions and obtain or design and purchase equipment required for solutions
- Maintain maintenance preventative maintenance software
- Plan, implement (with the appropriate approval from management), and install electronic/electrical or mechanical modifications to existing building and equipment
- Determine root cause to mechanical & electrical failures to improve the site's uptime
- Manage and oversee parts and maintenance programs and inventory
- Initiate & lead in process improvement, cost reduction and capital project programs
- Work closely with internal and external customers to accomplish plant objectives
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with similar processes
- 5 - 10 years of Mechanical and Electrical experience required
- Management experience for at least 3 years over a Maintenance team
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedure manuals
- Knowledge of plant equipment, operations, predictive/preventative maintenance systems and effective project management practices
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and the ability to diagnose bad motors, blown fuses, bad disconnect times, relays, etc.
- Demonstrated organizational, budgeting and computer skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery through the use of blueprints, and root/cause failure analysis
- Ability to work well with all levels of internal management, staff, and vendors
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be proactive and have initiative
- Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
- Ability to travel 5-10%
