Position Overview:
The Lead Respiratory Care Specialist/ERT role encompasses delivering expert respiratory care and emergency room technician responsibilities to patients facing cardiopulmonary challenges, necessitating advanced competencies to manage intricate care situations. This position involves independent respiratory interventions, ventilator oversight, diagnostic evaluations, and tailored therapies to meet individual patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executing respiratory interventions in accordance with patient needs and physician directives
- Monitoring and enhancing respiratory care methods for optimal effectiveness and patient safety
- Identifying and reporting any adverse occurrences related to respiratory treatment
- Thoroughly documenting patient care information and outcomes
- Supporting patient treatments under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Conducting laboratory tests at the point of care
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Training program
- Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Washington State
- ACLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience in respiratory therapy (CRT preferred)
