We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Professor of Respiratory Care to join our team at Tacoma Community College. As a Clinical Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and supervising students in the Respiratory Care program, promoting the mission and goals of the college, and contributing to the development of the program.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and supervise students in the laboratory and clinical settings
  • Plan and implement special learning experiences for students in the Respiratory Therapy specialty areas
  • Evaluate student achievement in terms of clinical outcomes
  • Function as an effective member of the assigned team of instructors and participate in faculty meetings
  • Perform duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Licensed respiratory therapist in the state of Washington
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a RCP
  • Good standing with the medical facility and department
  • Oriented to both the ICU and General wards
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in a related field
  • Coordination of clinical education in a community-based respiratory care program
  • Experience working as a respiratory therapist in a major medical center
  • Experience integrating the computer as a tool to support respiratory care instruction
