The Indirect Tax Analyst II role is a key part of our tax compliance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of sales and use tax returns. This includes reviewing and preparing tax returns, reconciling sales tax accounts, and maintaining business licenses.

This position also requires expertise in researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations, as well as providing guidance to other business groups within DXP on tax-related matters. Additionally, you will be working with third-party advisors and internal teams to identify use tax issues and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

As a member of our tax compliance team, you will be responsible for maintaining tax automation software and ensuring its accuracy. You will also provide support for audits and respond to notices from taxing authorities. With a strong understanding of government regulation and tax deadlines, you will be able to analyze complex tax issues and develop effective solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with management and the Corporate Accounting group to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. You will also assist in the preparation of special projects and reports, such as transaction tax refund claims. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to handle large volumes of data and maintain accurate records.

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a strong background in accounting or finance, preferably with experience in sales/use tax and property tax compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience with Epicor and AvaTax is also desirable.
