Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team at LPC Personnel, Inc. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned clients, providing year-round tax planning, estimating taxes, and ensuring tax compliance.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with the tax team to implement our vision and drive business growth.
  • Review and prepare individual, trust, estate, S corporation, partnership, and state returns in collaboration with our team of tax professionals.
  • Prepare forms to comply with foreign filing requirements for international clientele.
  • Participate in high-level client-interfacing activities to build lasting relationships and drive revenue growth.
  • Interface with the tax team to manage tax compliance and year-round tax planning.
  • Perform tax projections for clients in close coordination with Wealth Management advisors.
  • Consult on client cases as the in-house expert for tax projections throughout the year.
  • Build models for running different tax scenarios for specific client-related situations.
  • Identify and implement procedures to mitigate inefficiencies in the Tax Compliance function.
  • Support in-house marketing efforts by writing educational articles pertinent to clients and prospective clients.
  • Participate in recruiting at top universities for tax interns.
  • Work closely with tax interns in their professional development.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a CPA license.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Accountancy preferred.
  • Experience as a tax manager at a reputable CPA firm is essential.
  • Five or more years of public accounting experience with a focus on individual, trust, and small business returns is required.
  • Experience in preparation of Forms 5471, 3520, 3520-A, 8865, and 8885 is preferred.
  • State tax preparation experience is also preferred.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Detailed-oriented with an ability to work on several concurrent projects and tax returns is required.
  • Confident, poised, and professional in appearance.
  • Able to take on creative challenges and manage workload on tight deadlines.
  • Able to collaborate and contribute to a team environment.
  • Experience in consulting with high-net-worth corporate executives, trusts, and/or small businesses is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
