Key Responsibilities

1) Adhere to the established cleaning schedule for resident rooms, communal areas, and administrative offices.

2) Rearrange furniture as necessary to maintain an organized environment.

3) Conduct inspections of furniture for wear and damage, submitting maintenance requests as needed.

4) Empty and replace waste receptacles regularly.

5) Maintain cleanliness in designated smoking areas.

6) Refill soap dispensers and restock bathroom supplies.

7) Clean rooms after residents vacate.

8) Prepare rooms for incoming residents to ensure readiness.

9) Respect residents' rights, particularly regarding privacy and confidentiality.

10) Immediately report any unsafe conditions (e.g., frayed cords, broken furniture).

11) Keep cleaning supplies visible during tasks and securely stored when not in use.

12) Ensure janitorial closets remain locked at all times.

13) Utilize safety equipment as required (e.g., gloves, goggles).

14) Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff to support the facility's operations.

Qualifications:

Must be at least eighteen (18) years old; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous experience in institutional cleaning is advantageous. Candidates must provide references and pass a criminal background check. Documentation confirming freedom from tuberculosis is also required.



Work Environment

The work environment is well-lit and climate-controlled, with potential exposure to residents with communicable diseases or cognitive impairments.
