The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas of The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park. This includes performing daily cleaning tasks, sanitizing equipment and surfaces, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing of kitchen and dining areas
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and trash compactors
- Restock supplies and equipment as needed
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Two years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to other employees
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
The Kitchen Steward will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals. The ability to lift and move heavy objects is required.
