Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist - SPRN 2 to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology following established protocols, policies, and procedures while prioritizing safety measures with A.L.A.R.A. programs in mind.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology following established protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Executes quality control processes as per manufacturer, state, and federal standards.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Collaborates with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements.
Requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- No prior experience necessary.
- Must hold a valid registration as a nuclear technologist from either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT) according to the law.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Demonstrates in-depth understanding of radiation safety protocols and radiopharmaceuticals essential for conducting and processing Nuclear Medicine procedures.
