Promotes and advocates imaging services by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technology and equipment. The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist ensures accreditations standards are maintained as well as performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of nuclear medicine equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Must meet requirements of highest leveled Nuclear Medicine Technologist at the assigned entity.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS Certified Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations. Evidence of leadership, critical problem-solving skills, prioritization, and decision-making skills. Experience in leadership of personnel. Knowledge of regulatory requirements
