Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to install, maintain, repair, service, enlarge, and relocate sewage facilities. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient installation of sewer systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain sewer systems, including loading and securing equipment and materials.
- Operate heavy to medium construction equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, and backhoes.
- Locate underground utilities before digging and perform general maintenance and cleanliness of District equipment and vehicles.
- Notify foreman or superintendent when equipment needs replacement or repair.
- Flag and direct traffic, and place signs around work zones to ensure safety.
- Follow all District safety policies and procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Work on call and after hours as scheduled by Management.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year related experience and/or training with heavy equipment operation and maintenance is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required, and a Class A Commercial Driver's License and a D Wastewater Collection License are preferred.
The employee shall be compensated on an hourly, 40-hour work week pay scale with overtime available. Employee will be paid bi-weekly (26 times per year). Pay range is based on skills, education, experience, etc.
