Job SummaryWe're seeking an FP&A Associate to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing financial models for our various business units, with a focus on trading and protocol services. You will work closely with our business units and FP&A team members to model new business requirements, provide ad-hoc analyses, and leverage Python and SQL to support model development and automation.
Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of Galaxy's various business lines, including trading, asset management, and mining.
- Update and maintain various daily, weekly, and quarterly P&L reporting streams.
- Update and maintain FP&A models and reconciliations vs. other data sources.
- Leverage Python and SQL to support model development, build data pipelines, and automate workflows.
- Assist with projects translating Excel and Python-based models into automation requirements.
- Work with business units and FP&A team members to model new business requirements.
- Provide ad-hoc analyses.
- 2-5 years' experience in financial planning and analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience with financial models, business intelligence tools (Python, SQL, Excel, etc.), projections, and their mechanics.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Understanding of various asset classes (FX, futures, options, etc.) and how to navigate an income statement and balance sheet.
- Intellectually curious self-starter, comfortable in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.
- Highly detailed-oriented.
- Strong appetite for problem-solving in a high-growth business.
