Assistant Nurse Manager for the Surgery Center

ChristianaCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team in the Surgery Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the OR and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction of the clinical practice of nursing and delivery of efficient care to all patients.
  • Directly supervise nursing and technical personnel, assessing their proficiency, overseeing daily staffing and scheduling needs, evaluating staff performance, and counseling staff members when performance issues are identified.
  • Participate in all hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions.
  • Function as a role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors that support the professional development of staff and the strategic goals of ChristianaCare.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing required; Master's required within 5 years.
  • RN required; Operating Room experience required.
  • 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
  • Current Certification required (CNOR certification); if selected, the candidate will successfully complete the professional certification within six months of the start date.
  • BLS - Basic Life Skills - required.
