Space Technology and Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

This is a business development position in support of INDOPACOM and is contingent upon award. The successful candidate will provide operations support and reconstitution to ensure space capabilities, adding protection and resiliency to the space fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform responsive technical modeling and analysis of current and potential threat engagements to space systems.
  • Provide space flight safety, defensive space control, and intelligence analysis support for the sustainment of the space common operating picture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate space-related risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance space system performance and availability.

Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • 3-10 years of experience in space operations or a related field
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in a relevant field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

The position will be based in an office environment with occasional travel to other sites. The successful candidate must be able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Equipment and Machines:

The position will require the use of office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, and other equipment as required.

Attendance:

Regular attendance of scheduled hours is expected, with flexibility to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Other Essential Functions:

  • Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers.
  • Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $82,000, depending on work location and additional factors.
