Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Host/Hostess for our Adorn Bar & Restaurant. This role is crucial to our team, focusing on delivering outstanding service and quality to our guests.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Multitasking and prioritization skills are essential for success in this position. The Host/Hostess will ensure a positive experience for guests by managing the flow and ambiance of the Bar & Restaurant effectively.
Successful applicants will be team-oriented, comfortable with technology, and adaptable to various tasks to promote collaboration. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Maintain the reception area and entrance, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking.
- Adhere to established uniform standards and guidelines.
- Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Complete all assigned duties as outlined in opening, afternoon, and closing checklists.
- Distribute server slips and ensure timely updates to servers and management.
- Review the blocking sheet to identify regular and VIP guests.
- Utilize OpenTable for reservations, ensuring data accuracy.
- Answer calls promptly to maximize seating capacity.
- Accommodate regulars and concierge reservation requests.
- Optimize table usage to enhance guest turnover.
- Collaborate with concierges and other staff to elevate guest satisfaction.
- Assume additional responsibilities related to reception operations.
- Complete administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Update operational contact numbers as necessary.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding guest satisfaction.
- Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures and operational layout.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in various electronic systems.
- Passion for luxury hospitality service.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in a standalone restaurant or bar is highly preferred.
