Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Representative to join our team at Home2 Suites Poughkeepsie. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Welcome and register guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage front desk operations, including handling guest inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Market Sales: Process market and retail transactions for guests, maintaining accurate records and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Guest Interactions: Engage with guests in a professional and courteous manner, anticipating their needs and responding promptly to their requests.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve guest complaints and issues in a fair and timely manner, escalating to management as necessary.
  • Cash Handling: Manage cash drawer contents and transactions during shift, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including cash flows, registration cards, and property walks.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Language Skills: Proficiently speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment can be beneficial.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient knowledge of MS Office products and brand operating systems preferred.
  • Mathematical Aptitude: Possess high school graduate level mathematical aptitude, knowledge of standard cash handling procedures, and computerized cash register systems.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate genuine care for customers and employees, comfortable conversing with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
