Job Description

Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is a Charter Management Organization (CMO) dedicated to providing high-quality education to scholars in the Bronx, NY and Stamford, CT. Our mission is to prepare young scholars to compete for admission to and succeed in top public, private, and parochial high schools by cultivating their intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development.

We are seeking an experienced Education Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achievement, high degrees of personal responsibility, and the drive to ensure that every child achieves academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional and school culture leadership.
  • Collaborate and foster professional relationships within the school community.
  • Relentless pursuit of excellence in student achievement and conduct.
  • Maintain and exemplify a culture of high expectations and accountability for scholarly and professional conduct.
  • Assist in the development and administration of policies dealing with discipline, conduct, and attendance.
  • Assist faculty in the development of effective classroom instruction and management.
  • Assist in curriculum development to meet the needs of all students.
  • Prepare required reports and paperwork.
  • Assist in the selection and development of teaching and other staff.
  • Supervise and evaluate certified, paraprofessional, and support staff.
  • Assist in supervision of special events.
  • Assist in the care and management of the building and grounds.
