Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lift Mechanic to join our team at Aspen Skiing Company. As a Lift Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of ski lifts and related equipment used in on-mountain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of lifts and related equipment
  • Assist in maintaining maintenance records
  • Assist in lift operations, including operating ski lifts
  • Be familiar with the location of ski lifts on the mountain
  • Know how to turn on and operate the lift controls
  • Run lift on auxiliary or evacuation diesels
  • Manage maintenance tools and equipment
  • Assist in daily preventative maintenance inspections
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors about maintenance issues
  • Update maintenance procedures and maintain records
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board (CPTSB) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) codes pertaining to ski lifts
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid, current, and unrestricted driver's license
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to understand directions and communicate effectively in English
  • Previous mechanical experience preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Lift Mechanic will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with regular exposure to adverse weather conditions. The position requires the ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, or be on your feet for extended periods. The employee must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds individually or with assistance.
