Job Summary

The Vehicle Mechanic is a key member of the Aspen Skiing Company team, responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's fleet of vehicles, including Snowcats and other heavy equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on fleet vehicles
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Snowcats and other heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles to ensure they are safe and operating at full capacity
  • Collaborate with the shop team to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and repaired
  • Provide training and guidance to vehicle maintenance trainees
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Meets all requirements of a vehicle mechanic trainee
  • ASC certification preferred
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license
  • Current Aspen Skiing Company Snowmobile license
Work Environment

The Vehicle Mechanic will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to cold temperatures, snow, and other adverse weather conditions. The role requires the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance.
