Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a Packaging Manager to join their team in Cincinnati. As a key member of the Research & Development department, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's packaging strategies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead packaging projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality results.
  • Partner with internal teams, including R&D, plants, operations, and brand management, as well as external packaging suppliers and customers.
  • Develop and optimize packaging solutions using expert knowledge of food packaging processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Manage and execute studies on printing and label application processes.
  • Contribute to regulatory aspects of packaging, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Optimize packaging configurations for storage and shipping, including specification of boxes, palletization, and dialings.
  • Drive initiatives in sustainable packaging, focusing on innovative materials such as PCR and recyclable flexible film.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in food manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 4 years of packaging engineering experience, preferably in food manufacturing, with a proven management track record.
  • Broad technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead significant packaging projects that enhance both the top and bottom lines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
