Key Responsibilities:

Self-Checkout Assistance:
* Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout stations to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
* Engage with customers proactively to suggest relevant products and services.
* Provide friendly greetings and assistance to multiple customers simultaneously.
* Navigate the checkout area efficiently, performing tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to facilitate accurate transactions.
* Express gratitude to customers for their patronage and encourage them to return.

Customer Service Excellence:
* Actively approach and greet customers to ascertain their needs during checkout.
* Thank each customer sincerely and invite them back for future visits.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's offerings to provide informed recommendations.
* Suggest suitable products, credit options, and protection plans related to Lowe's merchandise during the checkout process.
* Utilize cash registers and mobile checkout units to handle sales transactions, returns, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
* Ensure proper handling of merchandise, including removing security tags and bagging items for customers.
* Respond to security alerts and manage incoming phone inquiries appropriately.
* Call for additional support during peak customer traffic to enhance service efficiency.

Inventory Management:
* Ensure accurate scanning of merchandise at checkout.
* Maintain the register area by confirming the functionality of equipment and replenishing supplies as needed.
* Organize and restock coolers, shelves, and merchandising displays in the front end.
* Inspect returned items for damages and categorize them correctly.
* Assist customers with in-store pickup by preparing and staging their orders.
* Accurately enter and submit customer orders, print order tickets, and verify receipts.

Store Safety and Cleanliness:
* Identify and report signs of theft or security risks to management.
* Adhere to cleanliness and organization standards to maintain a safe working environment.
* Conduct daily safety reviews and ensure compliance with safety protocols relevant to the role.
* Operate store equipment as necessary based on departmental requirements.

General Duties:
* Support administrative functions by creating and managing reports related to customer transactions.
* Process customer payments and handle credit disputes when necessary.
* Work in various checkout areas as needed, including self-checkout and returns.
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Less than one year of experience with computer operations, including data entry and retrieval.
* Less than one year of experience in a retail environment, particularly in checkout areas.
* Less than one year of experience in a fast-paced self-checkout setting, ensuring accurate transaction completion.

Preferred Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in a retail setting, particularly in self-checkout operations.

Compensation:
* Pay Rate: $16.65 per hour
* Starting pay may vary based on factors such as position, location, education, training, and experience.
