Risk Management Leader

The Assistant Vice President of Risk Management is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management and fraud prevention strategies to protect the credit union and its members.
This role will oversee operational risk, card fraud, and fraud mitigation, ensuring the protection of members and the integrity of the credit union's financial transactions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, fraud prevention, and financial services, with experience in payment operations and industry regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and communicating risk management and fraud prevention strategies
- Providing strategic guidance and data-backed reports to the executive team and board of directors
- Collaborating with department heads to integrate risk management practices into operational processes
- Developing and executing risk mitigation plans, fraud prevention programs, and control strategies
- Ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards
The successful candidate will have a strong leadership style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
