Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Auberge Resorts. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite coffee experiences for our guests. If you have a passion for coffee and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet Guests: Greet guests in a prompt, courteous manner and explain available items in detail.
  • Take Orders: Record the details of the order from the guest, repeating the order back to the guest to check for accuracy.
  • Input Orders: Promptly and accurately input the order into the Point of Sale (POS) system to inform the kitchen/bar on the particulars of the orders being placed.
  • Prepare Beverages: Prepare beverage orders to accuracy.
  • Serve Guests: Serve each guest using the proper utensils which require manual dexterity of hands and fingers.
  • Assist with Food Orders: Assist with collecting and situating food orders from the kitchen.
  • Process Transactions: Process cash, credit card, and charge sales for all retail and food and beverage orders.
  • Balance Cash: Balance tip slips for each server. Run financial reports, cashier reports, and end of day revenue reports.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare the cashier end of shift reports and ensure that your bank is balanced.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness. Wipe and sanitize all work surfaces, door knobs, equipment, pens, etc periodically during your shift.
  • Perform Side Duties: Perform side duties such as; restocking condiments, utensils, retail items, beverages, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: Any combination of education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a barista preferred.
  • Qualifications: High school diploma preferred. Previous hospitality experience preferred.
  • Skills: Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
  • Work Environment: Indoor environment, sometimes humid or hot conditions. Ability to lift/carry 30 pounds.
