About the Role:
The Dining Room Support Staff plays a crucial role in assisting servers with the timely delivery and collection of food and beverage items. This position requires a friendly demeanor towards guests and colleagues, adherence to safety protocols, and a solid understanding of the vessel and its surroundings. Compensation includes gratuities.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be flexible, energetic, and embody the principles of City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding hospitality to guests and team members as outlined in our Respect Service System (RSS).
- Ensure guests receive water, coffee/tea, and bread service throughout their dining experience.
- Clear used and unnecessary dishes and glassware from guest tables to the galley.
- Organize and transport dirty dishes and tableware to the galley for cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in all common areas and service stations; promptly clean up spills and remove trash.
- Set up and dismantle dining areas and service stations as required, which may involve moving furniture.
- Provide guests with information regarding menu items, service order, entertainment options, and points of interest.
- Be punctual and ready to start work at the scheduled time.
- Adhere to uniform and grooming standards as per company policy.
- Assist in warmly greeting and seating guests upon arrival.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must meet minimum age requirements as per state regulations.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- An enthusiastic and energetic personality is essential.
- Ability to effectively communicate and understand both written and verbal information.
- A strong service orientation with a proactive approach to assisting others.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
- Availability to work on major holidays is required.
