Job Overview

ICONSTAFF is seeking a skilled and innovative Software Test Automation Engineer with a start-up mentality to enhance our clean energy solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing an automation framework tailored for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. Collaborating closely with the development team, you will identify vulnerabilities and devise inventive strategies to stress-test software, revealing potential issues before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation frameworks and test scenarios for HIL testing.
  • Establish traceability by linking test cases to specific requirements.
  • Document and report test outcomes, identifying any issues encountered.
  • Employ innovative testing methods to discover problems that could affect deployment.
  • Collaborate within Agile teams to ensure testing aligns with ongoing software development.
  • Contribute to the establishment of systematic software engineering practices, including code reviews, design assessments, unit testing, and module testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing test cases and automation frameworks in a professional environment.
  • Proficiency in testing languages such as Python, C#, or their equivalents.
  • Familiarity with NI Labs or similar HIL testing apparatus.
  • Experience with software tools like Jira, BitBucket/Git, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of AWS IoT tools and cloud services (e.g., Greengrass, Kinesis/Firehose, S3) is advantageous.
  • Experience in the automotive sector is preferred.
