Position Summary:

The individual in this role will be tasked with overseeing Quality Engineering within the team. They will collaborate closely with stakeholders to pinpoint deficiencies and propose effective solutions for identified issues. Additionally, they will partner with development teams to ensure that new features are thoroughly testable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated regression tests for both new and existing functionalities.
  • Formulate detailed test plans and strategies that align with functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct hands-on testing, which includes black-box, white-box, and grey-box testing, along with application, usability, functional, regression, and performance testing in a client setting.
  • Create and maintain adaptable and sustainable automated test scripts for both front-end and back-end processes.
  • Identify, document, and analyze defects, addressing recurring issues with recommended solutions.
  • Engage in release planning and product launches, communicating product readiness, quality metrics, and outcomes to the project team.
  • Continuously assess quality assurance processes to identify areas for improvement and actively work towards enhancements.
  • Guide and mentor junior Quality Engineers, promoting best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in developing test suites using programming languages such as Java, Python, or TypeScript.
  • At least 4 years of experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, BDD, Robot) for both front-end and back-end systems.
  • Proficiency in JUnit, Spring Test, Lombok, and AssertJ.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience integrating with CI/CD systems like CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
  • Strong background in various testing methodologies, including performance, unit, integration, and automated testing.
  • Expertise in designing and executing test plans while utilizing software testing methodologies.
  • Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, Insomnia, and Swagger.
  • Exceptional analytical, debugging, and optimization skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
