Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Technology Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of enterprise-wide computing and information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines, plans, and procedures to ensure the security of County operational technology (OT) and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, design, implementation, and testing of information security controls protecting County information systems from attacks with a primary focus on OT SCADA.
  • Configure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot information security technology controls.
  • Monitor County information systems for vulnerabilities and security breaches with a primary focus on the OT SCADA environment.
  • Perform incident response activities for information system intrusions and other data breaches.
  • Consult with vendors and service providers regarding information security technology solutions; evaluate and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of cyber threats, security issues, and security requirements.
  • Support the risk assessment and evaluation of County SCADA systems.
  • Participate in security policy assessments and audits.
  • Train County and other agency employees on IT security-related issues to increase awareness of the growing threat to system security with the goal of keeping County systems and data secure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber Security, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of networking systems or cyber security, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • CompTIA Security Plus Certification.
Working Conditions

The work is mostly sedentary with frequent periods of walking and standing. Typical positions require workers to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; climb stairs; bend and crouch; reach, hold, grasp, and turn objects; and use fingers to operate computer or typewriter keyboards.

The work requires the ability to speak normally, to use normal or aided vision and hearing, and to detect odors.
