Position Summary
RMC is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and enhancing the security posture of our systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Operations Specialist include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring the security status of networks and connected systems across various domains utilizing an array of security tools.
- Conducting technical assessments of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits, and providing insights to SOC Managers and Information Assurance Officers.
- Performing log analysis across diverse operating systems and application platforms.
- Generating reports based on metrics derived from various SIEM products.
- Assisting in the configuration and troubleshooting of SOC tools, access policies, and compliance measures.
- Employing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident detection, response, and forensic analysis, while providing necessary updates.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree along with three to ten years of experience in incident response, incident handling, and log analysis/threat detection.
- Experience with SIEM implementation and utilization.
- Alternatively, six (6) years of additional relevant work experience or an Associate's Degree with four (4) years of additional relevant work experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
- A valid DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE) and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively in RDT&E environments.
- An active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory to commence employment.
