Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of all production and operational equipment. This role is vital to the maintenance team, providing technical assistance to colleagues on various instruments and machinery, while also managing all maintenance-related documentation. Additionally, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will ensure a safe working environment for all personnel, authorize maintenance work orders, and develop, review, and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both new and existing equipment.

Key Responsibilities


• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production, process, and facilities equipment.

• Ensure product quality through effective repair and maintenance of production and process equipment.

• Complete both scheduled and unscheduled work orders, along with preventative maintenance tasks, while maintaining necessary documentation.

• Develop, review, and implement preventative maintenance and repair procedures for required equipment.

• Assist in training plant personnel on new or modified equipment and procedures.

• Support validations and revalidations as required.

• Aid in the procurement of stock and repair parts.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely scheduling of preventative maintenance and repairs.

• Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

• Perform additional tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in life sciences or engineering is preferred.

· A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician is essential.

· A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license are mandatory.

· Previous experience in a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) is highly desirable.

· Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

· Proficiency in Excel, Word, and MS Project is required.

· Must be able to read and write in English clearly and operate a computer effectively.

· Ability to identify issues in work processes and respond to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for working in a team-oriented production or manufacturing environment.

· A commitment to maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment is essential.

· Ability to work efficiently while ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $35.50 per hour. Please note that salaries may vary within this range based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
