The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for overseeing and managing equipment and personnel within the designated facility.
This role aims to enhance operational efficiency across all facets of the building. Key performance indicators such as uptime, labor hours, repairs, and preventive maintenance completion will be monitored and assessed against industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure punctuality and excellent attendance.
- Achieve or surpass a plant uptime target of 98%.
- Maintain a rapid response time for building calls, ideally within 2 minutes.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and address equipment concerns proactively.
- Communicate significant issues to the Chief Engineer and Production Manager, assisting in their resolution.
- Foster a collaborative working relationship between the maintenance team and production staff.
- Ensure completion of tasks at 100% quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all safety protocols established by the company.
- Work effectively within a diverse workforce.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude.
- Be prepared to work beyond scheduled hours as necessary.
- Be physically capable of lifting and moving objects exceeding 50 lbs regularly.
- Adapt to a warm plant environment during peak seasons and be able to stand or walk for the duration of the shift.
