Position Overview:

The Security Specialist I at Kohler Lodge is pivotal in maintaining a secure, welcoming atmosphere by upholding security protocols and ensuring the protection of Kohler Co. and its esteemed brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage the safety and security of personnel, guests, and property.
  • Authorize entry and exit of associates and visitors to prevent theft and ensure premises security.
  • Provide assistance to visitors and direct them to appropriate resources.
  • Utilize multi-channel communication devices effectively.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or policy violations.
  • Understand and relay information accurately from various communication sources.
  • Deter criminal activity through a visible security presence.
  • Familiarize oneself with Kohler's security and fire systems to respond appropriately.
  • Assist with special assignments during emergencies as directed by management.
  • Provide transportation services using company vehicles when necessary.
  • Maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and fire safety.
  • Act as a security and safety resource for other departments and local emergency services.
Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to transport emergency medical equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds, ascend and descend ladders, and perform CPR as defined by the American Heart Association.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required; a two-year college degree in relevant fields preferred.
  • Experience in law enforcement, industrial security, or military police is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to submit detailed reports on daily activities and irregularities.
  • Maintain composure and effectiveness during emergencies or stressful situations.
  • Exhibit professionalism and respect towards all guests and associates.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Demonstrate initiative by proactively patrolling facilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold a neat, professional appearance.
Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is competitive, influenced by experience and education. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k options.
