About the Position:
This role involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, focusing on the upkeep and sanitation of facilities and structures, along with related tasks as assigned. The work is conducted under the moderate oversight of the Human Resources Director.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors; shampoo carpets; strip and wax surfaces.
2. Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables from buildings and adjacent areas, ensuring proper placement.
3. Clean windows and glass doors; dust baseboards, chair rails, and window sills; sanitize tables, desks, walls, chairs, and blinds.
4. Maintain and replenish restroom supplies; disinfect water fountains, door handles, light switches, and elevator interiors.
5. Relocate furniture and other heavy items as necessary.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a general understanding of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, with the ability to utilize them effectively and efficiently. Candidates must be able to follow oral and written instructions, possess basic literacy skills, and demonstrate the physical capability to perform demanding manual tasks. The ability to work independently and foster positive relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and the public is essential.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Additional Requirements:
A valid driver's license is mandatory.
