About the Position:
This role involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, focusing on the thorough upkeep and sanitation of various facilities and structures. The work is conducted under the moderate supervision of the Human Resources Director.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and buffing floors; shampoo carpets; strip and wax floors.
2. Dispose of waste and recyclables from buildings and surrounding areas, ensuring proper placement.
3. Clean windows and glass doors; dust baseboards, chair rails, and window seals; sanitize tables, desks, walls, chairs, and blinds.
4. Restock and sanitize restrooms; disinfect water fountains, door handles, light switches, and elevator interiors.
5. Move furniture and other heavy items as necessary.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a general understanding of cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment, along with the ability to utilize them effectively. Candidates must be able to follow oral and written instructions, possess reading and writing skills, and demonstrate the physical capability to perform demanding manual tasks. The ability to work independently and maintain positive relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and the public is essential.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Additional Requirements:
A valid driver's license is necessary.
