Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Construction Attorney to enhance our dynamic legal team.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a high-quality environment, engaging with a variety of construction-related legal matters.

The successful candidate will manage construction defect litigation and defense cases, tackling complex legal challenges within the construction sector.

The ideal applicant will possess a solid foundation in construction law, exhibit strategic thinking, and demonstrate exceptional negotiation capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer legal counsel on a broad spectrum of construction-related issues, including contract disputes, construction defects, and defense matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various construction contracts, such as design-build, EPC, and traditional design-bid-build agreements.
  • Represent clients in construction defect litigation, employing effective defense strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp project objectives, identify legal risks, and provide strategic legal insights.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents, including memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Stay informed about changes in construction law, regulations, and industry practices that may affect clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the state bar.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Construction Attorney, ideally focusing on construction defect and defense.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing construction defect litigation and defense cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction law, contract law, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Outstanding negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound legal judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to foster relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to upholding high ethical standards and confidentiality.
