Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Construction Attorney to enhance our esteemed legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer legal counsel and insights on a broad spectrum of construction-related matters, including contract disputes, construction defects, and defense strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various construction contracts, encompassing design-build, EPC, and traditional design-bid-build agreements.
  • Represent the organization in construction defect litigation, formulating robust defense strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend project goals, identify legal risks, and provide strategic legal counsel.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Stay informed on developments in construction law, regulations, and industry practices that may affect the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Construction Attorney, with a focus on construction defect and defense.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing construction defect litigation and defense matters.
  • Strong understanding of construction law, contract law, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to make sound legal judgments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster relationships with clients and stakeholders.
